I had lunch with Niks on Friday 2 June. J couldn’t make it, so it was just me and her. She is the future Ms. My-cousin. I arrived on the bus around noon, disembarkeda t the local Fairmont hotel and wlaked through the PATH to BCE. Once I arrived I picked up some digital prints I had ordered at the store in the building.
I called her and left a message. She soon called back and asked where I wanted to meet. Ever enthuiastic to see new places, I suggested that I ride the elevator to where she was. She told me in which tower she worked and I zoomed up the elevator to the twenty-fifth floor. On that floor it was evident I was in the wrong place. I called her and told her I was lost. We agreed to meet downstairs.
When I was downstairs, she called me and I saw her walking from the other tower. The problem was that she thought her tower was named something else and I didn’t recognize that the one at this street and that street was the other one.
All was well. We went to Shopsy’s and sat on the patio she was going to order a cobb salad. I decided to follow suit and ge tthe same. I was curious because I didn’t know what a cobb salad was. I had heard about it when filling out the Bomber menu survey and didn’t know what it was. She order the low fat dressing and I got the balsamic vinaigrette.
We each had water and I later ordered a UC Red. We had a good talk about the family and some other stuff. I enjoyed it immensely.
We were there for about over an hour and she had to get back to work so I walked her back to building and continued north on the PATH.
