The Guelph Mercury published a 40 Under 40 special section and Magda was one of those chosen.

It’s Magda Konieczna’s mission to keep people informed. She wants Guelphites to build the community they want, with an awareness of their options.

“When you make a decision to do something, what are you not doing as a result of that?” Konieczna asked — and has answered in her articles.

They also recognized Ali Asaria, who is a friend and a guy I’ve worked with before.

Asaria started the company from his father’s pharmacy, Norfolk Pharmacy and Surgical Supplies, and now has his own office on the same street in downtown Guelph. He used to work as a software developer and created the popular BlackBerry game “BrickBreaker.”

Awards and recognition like that are good, but have less real meaning than people often ascribe to them. Good for Ali and Magda though.
