I bought a flip video camera on Monday (as seen on Oprah).

The Flip video camera is a compact video camera made by Pure Digital that makes shooting web video easy. It was introduced last year, but only became widely-available in Canada in June.

Here are a few points:

• The top of the line is the Mino, I could only get the second, the Ultra.
• The cost is less than $200. Mine was $179 including tax.
• It connects through and integrated USB plug (though you may need an extension) and has onboard editing software
• It has 2 gigs internal memory for 60 min of 640×480 video

I have shot a few clips, but I have yet to start making some minute web videos, which is what I intend to start doing.
