Rogers announced yesterday that it is treating its loyal customers worse than fickle switchers.

They will no longer charge the $6.95 scam system access fee to new customers.

Yesterday, Rogers Communications Inc.’s Fido service dropped its $6.95 monthly system access fee for new customers. Existing subscribers will still pay the charge.

Well yesterday was historic. Eight years ago, I didn’t believe what was happening. It seemed like we were entering bizarro world. One year ago I wouldn’t have expected this, but this outcome seems like it may normalize the recent past. The weird events of the last octennium may have made this possible.

This is different, but it is just the beginning and different still has to deal with the same.
