California State Proposition 8 passed last week. It amends the state Constitution to restrict the definition of marriage to a union between a man and a woman.

The vote seemed to be pretty close and the differing values shows the social cleavage in America.

I was thinking about religious views like those on marriage and creation. I wondered if anyone has said about intelligent design that they support the traditional definition of theory as mockery of those who say something similar about marriage.
